Letter from Executive Director:
I have been in the position of Executive Director for just over two years now. So much has happened in that time frame! I have been faced with learning news things about our community, trying to increase Chamber memberships, and continuing the Events our chamber members has come to expect.
I came across a letter written by another Executive Director, from another State that has just completed her two and half years. She wrote how excited she was that 5/3 Bank donated their building to the Chamber, how excited she was that this was going to be more accessible for town residents and lost travelers, she evens plans having a"coffee shop" in the lobby area so the Chamber /Visitors Center would remain open through out the day, even when she isn't there.
I found myself thinking of her accomplishment again this morning as I climbed up a flight of stairs carrying a briefcase/laptop case, my purse , lunch box and other chamber materials, groaning with every step to my Chamber office on the 2nd floor of City Hall. I struggled to balance my load..thanking God I chose not to wear my heels today. It is a nice office, I am not complaining, people are around to talk to. But from my very first day as your Director, I had vowed to find our Chamber a location that is more accessible to the public, to visitors and to you Chamber Partners. I now believe it's going to take a while longer to reach this goal. But perhaps with your help, we can work together to make this happen. If you have any contacts or influence or money to invest, talk to me! Taking pride in what we are, a business organization that supports businesses, is the Chamber.

To all the Chamber Members, I wish to send my sincere gratitude for your support to the Chamber.
It is this support that provides the opportunity for growth. The Chamber's successes are directly related to it's members. Our members are hard-working and dedicated, and our Membership is growing!. Thank you!
And by the way, those stairs haven't done a thing for my hips!
have a great and productive day!
